Stanford University | Research Coordinator
General School of Education (GSE)

Organization and conducting of research projects with a team of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from various universities.

 

Collaboration with researchers from Brown, Harvard, and Stanford on exploring the efficacy of text-based chatbots for undergraduate student support. Qualitative work including, but not limited to, the conduction of end-of-semester, semi-structured, interviews to gather insight and feedback on the experience of collaborating in the development and implementation of the course chatbot. Interviews are conducted with staff, faculty, and students at a range of universities across the nation. 

 

Managing of the Pathways Network website — Pathways Network connects researchers working to develop shared concepts and techniques to take advantage of new data and computational power.
 

Assistance with qualitative data analysis, literature reviews, and reviews/completion of IRB updates for the Longitudinal Cohort Study (LCS) at the Graduate School of Education. Additionally, I assist with various other research projects within the GSE through the guidance of my principal investigator.

2023 - 2024

Harvard University | Collaborative Researcher

Research practice partnership with the Harvard Math Department investigating the effectiveness and success of instruction, resources, and advising.

Qualitative & quantitative data collection/analysis.

Aggregation of data for departmental review and for use by instructor's to improve classroom experience. 

​

Work with Principal Investigator (PI) to obtain and track Data Use Agreements through all relevant institutions and assist with Institutional Review Board protocols.

2023 - 2023

University of California, San Diego | Research Assistant

Assisting faculty in piloting and developing a new course in the Sociology department. 

​

Developing survey and interview protocol.

Adapt new, nonstandard methods outlined by supervisor in designing and evaluating phases of research projects, (i.e., educational materials, questionnaires, strategies for recruitment, data quality control procedures and processes)

2019 - 2022

Stanford University | Research Assistant 

Assisted Phd students within the Sociology of Education Department in investigating undergraduate academic pathways and academic decision-making.

Conducted literature reviews, assisted in creating qualitative interview protocols to be implemented in a cohort of over 100 participants.  

​

Designed and implemented transcription process for interview audio files.

​

Hired, managed, and trained groups of interns for transcription and coding of project data.

​

Coded qualitative interview data via Dedoose software. 


Assisted in the process of publication paper reviews and presentations.
